Maine Cabin is a custom residence designed by Hereabout Home in Bar Harbor, Maine. The project was built using CROFT panels — fabricated off-site at CROFT's facility in Maine and assembled on location.
That construction method shaped how INFORM approached the mechanical design. All systems had to be fully resolved in Revit BIM before fabrication began, with specifications and coordination documents delivered directly to CROFT to support panel assembly in their facility.
When the build method is off-site fabrication, there's no room to figure things out in the field — mechanical design has to be right before anything gets built. INFORM provided complete mechanical design including air-to-air heat pumps, zoned HVAC, independent ventilation, and interior design coordination. All modelled in BIM and documented for both the architect and the fabrication team.
